Aoife Laban | Co-founder
Aoife, pronounced Eefa, graduated with a BSc in Tourism Marketing from DIT in 2002 and has spent her entire professional career since then in the English Language sector in Ireland. She has a passion for international business and a proven successful track record in sales, marketing and account management across the globe. Aoife’s close working relationships with study abroad agencies from all over the world which stretches back for more than 15 years has given her a unique insight into the industry.

Steven has a background in business having worked for 10 years in the retail sector in Ireland before he decided to change industry in 2011 and became an English Language teacher. After teaching English abroad in Brazil and Poland, Steven came back to Ireland and continued his career in the sector moving into senior management roles. Steven’s unique career history has given him an in-depth insight into the academic and operations management of the school.

Seán, pronounced Shawn, joined Apollo as Academic Director in January 2017, following 5 years at IH Dublin. With a BA in Languages for International Communication, Sean started teaching English after becoming CELTA (University of Cambridge Certificate) qualified and later obtained his DELTA (University of Cambridge Diploma) qualification. Seán has overall responsibility for the smooth running of the Academic Department, recruitment & training programmes for our teachers and ensuring the individual academic goals and objectives of our students are met and exceeded.

Naz is the Assistant Academic Manager at Apollo and works closely with Seán, the Academic Director, to ensure the individual goals of our students are achieved. Having taught English in Dublin since 2010, Naz brings a lot of valuable experience to the role and is a specialist in exam preparation for FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS exams as well as teacher training. Naz graduated with a BA in Classics and Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin and is also University of Cambridge CELTA and DELTA qualified. The progress of our students is one of Apollo’s top priorities and the experience and knowledge that Naz brings directly enables our students to do the best they can.

Mark is the Experience Manager at Apollo and works closely with the entire Apollo team to ensure superior customer satisfaction at our schools. Mark is in charge of accommodation and operations having previously held numerous positions in the English language sector in Ireland which gave him a clear understanding of what makes a successful study trip. Mark is the perfect fit for this role with his positive attitude and understanding that our customers are at the centre of everything we do.

Fé Dunne | Apollo Social
Fé, pronounced Fay, is responsible for Apollo Social ensuring ‘The Apollo Experience’ continues after class when students visit the best attractions that Ireland has to offer including imaginative and free activities. Fé loves travelling, languages and cultural exchange and has worked in Spain, France, Italy, Germany and visited many other countries too. Fé is the perfect fit for this role because of his out-going personality and because he loves meeting new people and learning about their culture.

Scott, Apollo’s Young Learner Manager is a language school specialist, having spent over ten years working in the industry. Originally from Buckinghamshire in the UK, Scott spent time as an English teacher in Italy and the Middle East before moving into senior management roles in England and Ireland and now has overall responsibility for the Apollo Young Learner Programmes in Dublin and Cork. Scott gained a first-class honours degree in Sports Journalism and has worked for the BBC, Setanta Sports and Virgin Radio, as well as writing for Global Grasshopper, an award winning blog and resource for independent travellers.

Liosa, pronounced Lisa, is the Young Learner Co-ordinator at Apollo as well as being a CELTA qualified teacher and has an abundance of experience in the EFL sector. Prior to returning to Ireland in 2016, Liosa was the Academic Manager at Lewis School of English in the UK, where she oversaw the running of four young learner summer centres as well as spending many years living and teaching English in Italy. Liosa has overall responsibility for the academic programme and progress of Apollo young learners in Dublin and Cork as well as recruitment and continuing professional development (CPD) of our young learner teachers.

Bruna is the Bookings Manager at Apollo, with responsibility for bookings, administration and agent/partner liaison. With a BA in History and a Masters in Latin American Studies, Bruna has held a number of roles in the education industry, including overseeing the delivery of a distance learning programme in the lead up to the Olympic games in Brazil. Having been an international student in Ireland herself, Bruna has a unique perspective and understanding of the sector from both sides.

Deirdre, pronounced Deerdra, is the Front Office Administrator & Online Marketing Executive at Apollo and is the main point of contact for students at the adult school as well as managing Apollo’s social media channels and website. With a background in Customer Service and Creative Arts, Deirdre’s friendly and enthusiastic personality makes our students feel welcome and relaxed right from the start. Deirdre is a fluent Irish speaker so when the English classes are over, Deirdre can teach our students a word or two of Irish!
